Biggie Announcement: I'm officially a ! Woohoo!

My comedy 10-minute play "Carthago Delenda Est" was selected to be produced - with real actors on stage - for the Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette's Play Festival! I'm giddy with all the good feelings. 🤩 If you're in over the last weekend in June, come out and see it!

Now, we’re taking two important steps: federating the accounts of 400 creators and expert curators; and enabling two-way communication so that new followers and fediverse activity are visible and actionable in the Flipboard app.

I'm still a little fuzzy about what "Eid Mubarak" means, but I think it means essentially "Happy Holidays" to those who are participating in the feast at the end of the month of Ramadan. So, if that's you, Eid Mubarak!

@gilhova I'm trying to estimate how much I use search engines, and I think it's a lot. Maybe hundreds of searches each month? I've been in a habit of - "Hey that's a neat thing! Let's look that up!"

I do maybe 5-10 searches a day?
That's 150-300 per month?

So, that's a power user tier at Kagi for $10 per month, or $120 per year. Still probably worth it, for how much I use it. Especially considering how annoyed I get at shitty ad-laden responses from other search engines.

I know they have to be profitable as a company, but it makes the results seem tainted if I have to scroll down past the annoying ad gunk.

I'm not OP, but seems like a sort of a link aggregator (called "flips"). You can keep your own links (publicly or privately) and follow other people's curated links, and comment on them.

A little bit like a or - except the links are emphasized more than the conversation.

I didn't know how to federate my links, though. So this article is interesting!

Yay! This cool tool from shows the percentage of eclipse and exactly when it will occur, based on zip code. Just click your location on the map. It also shows the predicted weather at the time!

🐉 I played Dungeons & Dragons with my buddies yesterday and it was a hoot.

😋 Half-price Easter candy. My wife picked up a jelly bean multi-pack. Sharable fun with the D&D group. I love picking a random bean and trying to guess the flavor! Also, I would not complain if I always "accidentally" picked buttered popcorn or butterscotch beans.

My family DNA is pretty much 50% cauliflower and 50% Wonder Bread. So, who is this fine young lad, and why was his picture put in our family album?
