Someone said that what a neurodivergent views as CONTEXT,
a neurotypical will usually view as an excuse,
and when I tell y'all this hits me SO HARD 😫
"You're just not working hard enough"
"You're just not paying close enough attention"
"You're just lazy"
"You're just not very thoughtful"
"You're just not respectful of other people's time"
"You're just selfish"
"...SO STOP MAKING EXCUSES!"
And all the while, I'm just trying to provide context on how I got from A to G
Slightly bugged dwelling on #ADHD vs. #AuDHD, particularly with my experiences. I feel like a lot of non-medical #Autism resources lump ADHD symptoms and expereinces in with Autism ones, for good reason as a majority of Autis have ADHD, but now my impostor syndrome has gone "Oh I may be Autistic only" to "Oh I may be AuDHD" to "Oh I may be ADHD only" and it's really confusing!
@cferdinandi Holy crap, the team lead who would deliberately destroy people's flow state?! I don't have enough WTF to express how WTFy that is. Also, 😡👊🏻🗡.
The other problem with open offices, at least for me, is that I'm very distracted by motion. Anyone walking through my field of vision is a thing that I have to evaluate to make sure it's not important somehow. (Probably trauma from childhood bullying.) Anyway, I hate open offices.
