President #Biden said for the first time Wednesday he would halt shipments of American weapons to #Israel – which he acknowledged have been used to kill civilians in #Gaza – if Prime Minister Benjamin #Netanyahu orders a major invasion of the city of Rafah.
@GottaLaff I believe major is CNNs wording. It’s not in quotes. One thing that gets missed in this whole awful business is that initially the weapons were primarily for defense and there has already been a pause in shipments due to BiBi’s threats on Rafah.
“‘I made it clear that if they go into Rafah – they haven’t gone in Rafah yet – if they go into Rafah, I’m not supplying the weapons[.]’”

“‘I’ve made it clear to Bibi and the war cabinet: They’re not going to get our support, if in fact they go on these population centers,” [Biden] said.”
So perhaps it’s less a matter of manpower and more a location for his “red line”?
