Well done Tesco Mobile. Contact details are dark blue writing on a dark blue background. How the **** did this get past any testing?

have stopped selling these Mushroom Rice Bakes. Does anyone in know of anything similar? They're so delicious and mushroomy, but we've just eaten our last packet of them.

Photograph of the back of the packet which shows nutritional and cooking information.

are having a bit of a moment. Looks like my afternoon’s plans are now battling my way round the local store.

“We're really sorry we’ve had to cancel your order today and for the inconvenience this will have caused. We work very hard to deliver to our customers, but unfortunately, this time something has gone wrong.”

Can’t wait to see how busy it’s going to be if they’ve cancelled half the nation’s deliveries on a Sunday afternoon!

@mike Have you looked outside your window? Or noticed the multiple amber alerts for flooding and near-hurricane force winds during Storm Isha from the Met Office? Or all the railways running slow today and road closures?

This time it's not just Tesco being incompetent!

Tesco moth stuffing. Goes well with their horsemeat burgers.

CppGuy,

I abandoned a queue and walked away without buying painkillers in last weekend, all because of the awful they were playing through the PA. When will supermarkets realise people don't want to hear this racket?

@CppGuy Never :(

, a few months ago: "How dare you suggest we're profiteering during the cost of living crisis, no-one is trying harder than us blah blah blah"

Tesco, now: "We've had an exceptional year and we're pleased to raise our full year profit forecast to between 2.6 and 2.7 billion pounds"

They always treat us like idiots and they always get shown up for the liars they are.

passenger,
@passenger@kolektiva.social avatar

@paulb3017

When I used to work for them they would do the same dance routine with us.

"We had a tough year, there's no funds for raises or training."

"We had a great year, bonus dividends for all our shareholders!'

@passenger ... and we'll still pay our CEO £4.5m

@zleap @markusl yup. Classic example here in my regular shop is cat food. 88100g pack of Felix (£30.49, Pets at home) is cheaper (per unit weight) than 8085g pack of Whiskas (£24.99 in "cheap" supermarkets). But doing that calculation on the fly is beyond most people, the boxes look about the same size, and the individual packet weight is not easy to see.

AngharadHafod,
@AngharadHafod@toot.wales avatar

@markusl so Tesco denied it? It would have been an extremely easy fact check for the BBC journalist. If I've seen it time and again, and observed it without anyone pointing out out to me, I'm sure they can manage it having literally been told where to look.

Please Tesco and Cadbury, don’t take the p*ss. Cadbury’s Eclairs boldly advertised as “NEW” on the shelf, with no difference to the old packet except the weight and the price. 166g a few days ago and 130g now.
We’re paying more for less and they presumably think we won’t notice.
Is anyone else totally sick of this rubbish?

tmfox,

No own brand Tesco Bran Flakes for a month!?

I do wonder what separates the supply chains of Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA, Waitrose and Morrisons in the UK.

I recall Tesco seemed to have the most problems during COVID + Brexit fall-out.

richlucking,

@tmfox no profit on the cheap ones, so no incentive to make them, you'll have to buy the more profitable variants instead

lukito,

@richlucking @tmfox The nostalgia that hits with this song is strong :blobfoxmelt3:

Why is jacket potato the only food available from your cafe (Cadle, Swansea)? The staff couldn't even make an all day breakfast gluten free!
