I found after the demo I had a small headache. I asked for the dual strap at that point; not only was it more comfortable but the headache vanished instantly. It had better pressure distribution for me.
@HootenHaller I found this strap very comfortable, but the back of the unit itself pressed against a bone at the top of my nose and was very uncomfortable. If I was going to buy one, I would make myself a little foam insert and that would solve the problem. But other than that, I feel like I could wear this for hours.
After a few weeks of waiting, finally got my exchange of an 11W light shield to replace the original 21W
The consequence is a complete change to the physics of how #VisionPro sits on the face. I can wear it comfortably indefinitely now, whereas before there was a firm upper limit of around 40 minutes.
My hunch is that they ran out of 11W inventory and started substituting the "next best” option
In any case, what a hard problem. The balance is EVERYTHING to make this weight bearable.
Went to visit Disney Springs and Hollywood Studios the past few days. I tried out @_Davidsmith's technique to capture hi-res panoramas on iPhone. Really impressed with how much detail stitching multiple 48mp images retains vs standard pano mode. Photoshop did a good job handling movement, which I was concerned about in such a busy location. Time to start retaking all the shots I took previously.😅 If you have a AVP check them out. https://adobe.ly/430ULoN#visionpro@caseyliss
I made a new app that lets you have your favourite websites as light weight widgets all around you on visionOS.
I think this way to stay update to date.
@jimmylittle this truly shows Apple’s genius and ability to play the long game in ways that Google can only dream of. It seems pretty clear that both Sidecar and Universal Control were created knowing that, while cool on the iPad, they would be essential to the success of Vision Pro.
