But when I looked at the code, I noticed that he had used HTML data attributes and was accessing them in JS via the dataset property. When I asked him about it, he replied: “Yes, I read that in a post by @chriscoyier on CSS-Tricks.” 🤘😁

@SocialistStan It was certainly partly an attempt at that but I would say it's very far from that today. Where I go, such behavior is hard banned at a more local level and wasn't very popular in California either.
