The transcript is painful to read, because if it were my grandpa, our family would be having a difficult discussion on his future care.
One can only imagine his advisers appalled at him doing this interview and trying to talk him out of it, but he wouldn't listen because he spent his entire life wanting to be on the cover of Time.
#Trump would let red states monitor #women’s #pregnancies & prosecute those who violate #AbortionBans. He would, at his personal discretion, withhold funds appropriated by #Congress, acc/to top advisers. He would be willing to fire a US Attorney who doesn’t carry out his order to prosecute someone, breaking w/a tradition of independent #law enforcement that dates from America’s founding.
He is weighing #pardons for all of his supporters accused of attacking the Capitol on #Jan6, >800 of whom have pleaded #guilty or been #convicted by a jury. He might not come to the aid of an attacked #ally in Eur or Asia if he felt they weren’t paying enough for its defense. He would gut the US civil service, deploy the #NationalGuard to US cities as he sees fit, close the WH #pandemic-preparedness office, & staff his Admin w/acolytes who back his false assertion the 2020 election was stolen.
@Nonilex Hi Nonilex, thank you for all the high quality info, you post so frequently and without which I'd be a lot more ignorant of American politics! On this post I don't understand why you use the word 'reshape', it feels to me that those are exactly the gray terms trumpists use to hide their extremist goals. I understand why whomever does the interview uses them, but here, on second hand recount, 'reshape' does not do justice to the extreme they are aiming for. What's your take on it?
