jayrhacker, In Japan, Apple could not get the trademark for 'AirPort' which was their brand name for 802.11 wireless networking before the Wi-Fi Alliance and Wi-Fi Trademark existed. So they rebranded all the Access Point and Radio Cards as 'AirMac'
