This is probably the primary reason why I don't believe that our government in it's current form can save anything (regardless of political party). Not climate, not the economy, not the wealth disparity, not health care.
They are only concerned with making themselves richer.
@tadbithuman I'm sure the energy companies would like us to all drown/burn to death quietly but if people find out they face the same jail time for protesting a pipeline as, say, blowing up a pipeline, things may not turn out as they hoped.
