@EOAK Sounds like a tasty choice! Thinking about pickles is making me hungry, I might try to get a community plot next year so I can have a lovely farm.
@EOAK I want to, but I must see if...My health will hold as I'm chronically ill and summer heat would take a toll on me. I could arrange to work in the garden during cooler pre-dawn hours. I might start out small with herbs, then expand into an actual field.
@EOAK I'm writing a pro and con list for working around my energy levels...Finding crops that don't require too much effort to get started. As growing food was a passion early on. I loved my childhood garden, as much work as they can be...Gardens are peaceful and fulfilling.
@EOAK Those were the first plants on my list. They can be grown in pots too, if I had a yard of my own...I'd use that approach. Creating support for both plants would be super easy too.
@EOAK Beans, beets, summer squash, peppers, lettuce, onions, radishes, and turnips were also on my list due to their easy growing in Kansas! I'd have to make sure to scale the number of plants to keep the yields easy to manage. With no waste or contribute extra to anyone who'd like it!
