I'm caught between wanting our indie game to thrive and hating big tech platforms. I like it on the fediverse, its fun here and I like talking to people here. But I feel pressured to use Threads/twitter/etc since we've put so much work into the game and want as wide an audience as we can for our debut. It's tough and annoying.
You need to separate your business/promotional accounts from your personal accounts. Set up promotional accounts on the big corporate platforms so you reach a lot of people, but keep your personal accounts on the Fediverse if that’s where you’re happier.
I understand your frustration but from my developer point of view you should prioritize your business. You’ll have plenty of time to say fuck to big corps when your name will be known. Also, you will have a bigger impact then.
