Decided to start a replay of Tomb Raider. Crazy to think the rebooted version is already 11 years old.

When I played this the first time around, I thought this scene looked incredible! And although some of the graphics in this game still stand up well today, it’s definitely showing its age!

Scene from Tomb Raider showing Lara Croft standing up whilst bloodied and injured, and looking over a cliffside to a ship and plane wrecks along a rocky shoreline.

@EighthLayer The most obvious thing to me is the shaders. I think that's where games have mostly changed since then.

@Badolwen Oh yeah for sure!

Tomb Raider runs very well on the ROG Ally as well. I mean, it’s a 10+ year old game so I would think it would, but it’s nice to play on it.

I forgot how gruesome this game can get sometimes!

There are times like this when Lara is literally covered head to toe in blood; and others when she's parasailing through a forest and impales herself through the neck on a tree branch.

Nasty, but I do enjoy it. 😅

Rolling credits on my replay of Tomb Raider. Now I can move on to Shadow of the Tomb Raider!

Oh wait, I need to play Rise of the Tomb Raider first! 😅

@EighthLayer really really enjoyed those first two games in the new series. I played about an hour of the third and was totally done with it though.

@danielholt I remember enjoying the first one but can’t remember the storyline, so wanted to play it again as a refresher before starting the second game. I haven’t played that one yet.

@EighthLayer I picked up the PS4 version a few years back, it was a launch title and even has a feature where you can say “map” into your mic to open said map.

@UncannyKyle I didn’t know that was a thing. That’s quite cool!
