Kaiji No. 8 time, I am really loving this #anime so far! It's so good, simultaneously being wholesome and mysterious. Kafka is the best himbo of all in this series, it's giving me life atm! There are more anime drops today to watch before getting back into #Minecraft to continue building my food production/preparation area. As once this is done, I want to create specific areas for construction, blacksmithing, and my Minecraft world's lore. After that, I will turn Easy mode!
🙏 Please help mastodoners.
👀 I'm looking for cool #educational#games for my 7 and 9 years old boys.
The games need to be online on installable on Ubuntu. Without publicity please. I'm willing to pay if good quality like #tocaboca games.
I already have #minecraft and #hourofcode and a bunch of old, not so fun, games.
So the Strange Wizard's Tower is finished, I took this photo on Wednesday but forgot to share it. It doesn't include the farm, cooking, and storage building in progress as that architecturally challenged building is very much a WIP.
Before work, I almost had my odd Wizard Tower finished in Minecraft. Once I felt the initiative to work on it, the project only took around 2 days. The prep took the longest at 5 days! Next, I feel like figuring out where my animal husbandry, agriculture, and kitchen/larder will go.
I can’t wait to get home and consider my base layout. Once that happens, getting animals for my base is in order!
Mojang will be adding 20 new paintings to #Minecraft in the upcoming "Tricky Trials" update, bringing the total to a whopping 46 motifs!
Five are by Sarah Boeving and can already be seen in previews for Bedrock Edition. The other 15 are from the artist who made the original paintings, Kristoffer Zetterstrand! https://minecraft.wiki/w/Kristoffer_Zetterstrand
One thing that I plan to do with this base is to centralize where items are stored based on specific buildings! Anything enchanting, potion related will be going in my Wizard's tower for example. As I am over having a dedicated storage room for everything, I tend to only keep a small amount of building materials on hand at any time. If I were to need excess, traveling to harvest said resources is something I will do.
I'm making progress on the central structure of this base area! Getting this one done first means deciding on the future layout of my base is going to be easier for me. At first, I decided on a modern, medieval style but decided against that because my Minecraft building sense isn't particularly keen. I may go for modern, brutalist because that is easier for me to manage. I will try to push myself in certain areas though to make it look pretty!
Crossing this one off my "I've always wanted to do this" list: I got my fourteen-year-old single-player #Minecraft world running on a private Bukkit server so I could run DynMap (the dynamic map that you've seen on Bahaicraft videos). Finally, we can see the world in its fullest, most discontinuous glory.
Finally finished filling in the plot of land for my base build. The featured building is known as "The Church of Sleep" as my bed and storage are in this place. However, as it is the wrong size to feature an enchanting table; this building is going to be destroyed and rebuilt in a fresh style near the middle of my plot of land!
It's time for bed and tomorrow I will begin demolishing this church dedicated to slumber and storage!
Apparently, the storm passed completely by my city in Kansas, we barely got a bit of rain and temporary high winds.
It’s calm outside right now, and my terrain alterations are almost done in Minecraft! I needed more dirt than I expected so I’m shaving down naturally generated terrain for dirt. Good times! 🤣
After watching anime, I feel it's time for #Minecraft as my part of Kansas is under a long Tornado Watch until 7 PM. I've got to terraform my base area in order to lay a foundation for where walls will be built!
These walls are going to be at least 7 blocks tall and a bit thick. Certainly enough for me to walk around and take out night time foes without them having a means to attack me. I will add some turrets (dispenser, arrows, and pressure plates) to cull those nighttime pests.
I found an Ancient City, I’m playing in Peaceful Mode so no threat of those cheeky shriekers summoning the Warden. It’s so dark and unnerving despite the lack of hostile mobs.
I might go back after this initial carefree gather and building session, with Easy mode enabled. As there are mob drops which will be useful for me later on that I’ll need!
I’ve begun the digging project underneath my base in earnest as I dug to -15 deep into the mountain! I found plenty of diamonds and other rare resources by surveying and lighting up the area. I gathered quite a few blocks but not enough to truly build seriously!
This Minecraft project will require many stacks of various stones, wood, and glass! I stopped digging tonight and will resume my mining in the morning. Going to bed early tonight.
Throwback to the very first #minecraft GUI I ever made. The piece that opened the flood gates for people commissioning GUIs and cemented my entire future. #pixelart#aseprite#mastoart
Thanks everyone for your feedback. Most answers congregated around an Absorption Length = 8 so we'll change the default Minecraft water and flowing_water to that in the next full release of Avoyd.
