Y’all bring so much to the table in the apps that you make. The apps even turn out better than the apps the companies put out and it really shows, being a whole community behind it.
Having companies squeeze developers into situations such as #Apollo’s truly suck and we all have to stand up.
That is why I am leaving #Reddit asap just as I did Twitter.
@kylewritescode@christianselig if there were a viable alternative to r/upliftingnews, r/engineeringporn, r/star_trek, r/patientgamers, r/disabledgaming, r/gamedev then I would leave reddit. Nowhere I've found has decent activity and vibrant discussions.
@triadne@christianselig Activity will need to be added as Lemmy is just getting started and popular since the whole Reddit thing. Vibrant convos will come with that also.
I can definitely look into creating some of those on Lemmy.world.
@kylewritescode@christianselig yeah I don't regret coming to mastodon but even now I still go to twitter if I want to see comments on a current TV programme. Sometimes you really need the numbers. I might take another look at lemmy soon though, if lots of people are moving, then I could try doing both for a bit and see how it goes.
@kylewritescode@christianselig i am. I will be deleting my account sometime between now and the 30th and move to lemmy full time. So i will have masto and lemmy and will have put an end to my use of any corporate social media
@shortwavesurfer2009@christianselig Yeah, it’s getting ridiculous what they are doing. I too am at the point where my corp social media will be ending too.
