I last used linux about ten years ago - whats a good current version to look at for "not-particually-techy" users? Also, where is a good non-gatekeepery info source?

@piglet The current versions of Ubuntu, Fedora, or OpenSuse will get you started. Use Ventoy to try live versions.

Try multiple distributions and choose the one you like most, and don’t listen to anyone about one’s superiority over another.
