Oh, I'll definitly watch this video later. I'm really wondering how you can spend 3 hours on this, besides the fact that the first guix pull and the first guix system reconfigure can take a really unacceptably long time on weak machines. Of course, if you start writing some complex configuration from scratch, this is also possible.

@mrak0 @098bfa86b83e88e6164c52db13acbf@mostr.pub the problem was that initial pull took a long time plus I had to start the whole process over because the manual has new instructions that lead to an unbootable system if you create and install to an encrypted LUKS2 volume

Oh yeah, guix currently laсks luks2 support in grub. To be fair, there is a warning in manual installation section: https://guix.gnu.org/manual/devel/en/html_node/Keyboard-Layout-and-Networking-and-Partitioning.html#Disk-Partitioning
but it may be accidentally overlooked and other sections related to encryption may not have it.

Only the devel manual has been changed back to the old steps
