@sheepnik This is pretty standard practice with replacement bus services these days - I've seen it loads of times.
Zero points for originality - must try harder.
there are only two main companies (Hanover and Mobitec) who make these electronic displays for most buses, every operator uses pretty much the same software to program them - it seems at some point the various "choo choo" bitmaps (which as small files that can be easily emailed) have been widely circulated across all bus operators
(you can even buy the displays here if you want, although they are fairly pricey)
