I am mostly over the cough / lurgy that I had the other week, apart from one thing: my tongue is now really sensitive to getting crumbs or small bits of food on it, which makes me cough. This makes eating more difficult than normal. I'd be quite happy if this would stop.

This is a bit of a first world problem I know, but let me whinge. I used the last of my preferred type of dental floss this morning, and I when I went to order some more a little while ago, I found out that it has changed and is quite different. So now I have to look for new dental floss, and I'm not looking forward to this, as there's so many types of floss that make my teeth feel weird in different ways.

Why isn't there a dental floss comparison website? There is for virtually everything else, and it would save me spending money on something that is not going to work because it's too waxy or too thin etc etc.

@alexisbushnell Yeah, I have a terrible gag reflex so it can be quite difficult at times to clean my teeth, especially the back ones. If I don't find anything in the shops, I can ask my dental hygienist what he uses when I see him next month.

is all about this week - the physical copies of our favourite music. I'm going with this homemade compilation that was my introduction to the music of Chris Knox, which was sent to me by someone I met on Usenet back when I was in university. While I don't listen to the actual tape anymore, and I own all the albums that these songs come from, I do have this set up as a playlist and listen to it from time to time.

@emmaaum One of my plants had got knocked over too. I liked the cardboard inserts though - the other place I buy from uses plastic pot holders, and I now have a stash of them. Not quite sure what to do with them to be honest.

Tune of the day

I don't really watch Eurovision, but I do read people's comments about it and watch some of the videos just to see what people are talking about. At some point I watched Croatia's entry and it really reminded me of something, but couldn't figure out what. Eventually I figured out that it was this - some Sami techno-joiking, from a group that I saw at a festival some years ago.
