Bandcamp has its problems, not least with passing off. (One band I know was surprised to see its albums for sale. Bandcamp didn’t even respond to comment requests, although did eventually take down the pages.) But I’ll be sorry to see it receive death from a thousand cuts – or a few really big ones. Which looks like where things are heading.
Seems all it takes for a co-operative middleman for one’s creative endeavors, be it Bandcamp, Patreon, your Email, your social media, is for a ‘buyer’ to come in and demand ‘his take’ and draining the service of all use in a matter of months.
