@fedops@maris It's a chicken-and-egg problem... most consumers don't know what it is so it doesn't end up being something that's requested often, and without a sufficient volume of requests, network operators don't prioritize rollout.
@ThirstyGayGeek one of the reasons I went with my local underdog DSL provider. IPv6 included at no charge. Unfortunately only provider address space, but still.
Considering that IPv6 addresses are essentially worthless (since there's absolutely 0 scarcity) it's incredible what RIRs are charging for the simple registration of a PI block. @maris
@kkarhan@Error@maris My ISP gives me only a /64 (which in practice means no subnetting), so I turned v6 off in my network and use v4 with NAT instead. Whose stupid idea was it to let my ISP determine what I can and cannot do in my own home network?
@sten@Error@maris I mean, #CGNAT is trash but for some abdurd reason my ISP gladly provides me a /29 of IPv4's yet won't offer ma a songle /64 of IPv6's
