@atomicpoet LAME. Boooo, Sid+Firaxis are bad and they should feel bad. If I owned the rights to such an iconic game Id slice a few hundred developer hrs to maintain a modern port of it.

There's always freeCiv. which... wow. I haven't checked in with them in a while, but it looks like they're recreating later editions (civIII?) last I played freeCiv was a decade ago but it was a spot on faithful remix of the original.. and ran in Windows which is how I found it.
