@georgetakei reminds me of a very dark episode in German history. It reads like our (German) history books in school about 100 years ago. The few differences it happens in the US, they have nukes and we do not have a great depression, but the latter can be compensated by an increasing divide between rich and poor. The rhetoric, the methods, the violence, the propaganda all look very familiar to me.
