What's even the point? To "stop people from hiding behind an anime avatar"? People seem to be perfectly comfortable trashing each other with their name and face on display on Facebook and elsewhere. :himeko_angry:
I go out of my way to use this on every platform that isn't strictly professional. And even as I write this, I realize I need some Haruhi stuff to rep her the next time I show up IRL at an event or conference or something.
@terrehbyte I don't know why it became the norm. I much prefer not using my real face on the internet, what's the point? The only thing it does is give people more fuel to bully me with.
Definitely agree with the Haruhi merch idea though!

@che5hire I saw someone complaining about people "hiding" behind anime avatars. It's probably a bigger "drama" on the big Mastodon instances. I'm just making a joke with Chika.
