Somewhere, someone is looking at recent Biden poll numbers, and convincing themselves that pushing a few boxes of MREs out of the back of a plane will fix this.

No I'm not interested in having a "discussion" about this. I know how the conversation ends: someone yelling "Trump is worse!" at me while being convinced that the only possible solution is for voters to accept what is going on.
I've already said all I need to say about the upcoming election, and the potential impact on the Dem turnout needed to win, specifically in the 3 or 4 places where it actually matters.
The most annoying part of every election, is people repeatedly telling Black folk that we are wrong about the biggest factors driving turnout. Just... zero ability to learn from previous elections. Zero.
US elections are all about turnout. And turnout is all about racism. Racism predicts US elections.
When I say "I don't argue with y'all, I say what I say and I collect my receipts later." This is what I mean.
The last time I tried to warn about Democratic voter turnout in swing states, people really tried to bring up poll numbers from swing areas showing strong Biden support, with polls that were taken before our response to October 7th. 🤦🏿♂️
There's still time to turn the ship around. If not out of human decency, or shame, then to win an election?
And yes, there is still time. But I honestly don't know if they'll use it.
They're probably going to keep doing what they're doing, while mumbling "Trump is worse!" to themselves and "These voters will come around! They have to! Right?" Up until the moment of disaster.

I have all these same concerns. I feel powerless to do anything about it except call my reps and beg them to use any influence they have.
And I do.
I'll fly to go help door knock in the Fall if they will let me but I don't know if that will help.
I'm so furious with all of them. I don't let myself dwell on it or I just feel paralyzed.
@mekkaokereke And with the Republican Party trying to implode, it's bizarre that rather than capitalize on it, Democrats seem determined to die on the hill of supporting the actions of a hardline right-wing government.
@mekkaokereke If 2016 is indication, I don’t think they’ll come around. They’ll find someway to excuse their lack of voting or the protest vote going to somebody like RFK Junior or Jill Stein. and, that’s what some of the major donors to RFK Junior are counting on.

@mekkaokereke A ways back I started thinking that even though some establishment Dems know they could win—overwhelmingly—with left populism, they’d rather lose, than that. The party establishment is firmly committed to no more FDRs, plus they refuse to frontally materially challenge white supremacism. Look at how hard they shut down Jesse Jackson when he ran.
I'm not holding Trump's feet to the fire for anything. Trump has nothing to do with me.
When more than half of my family are Trump voters then feel free to come for me.
I said years ago on Twitter, that whether or not there will be a free Ukraine in 2025, depends entirely on how many Black people vote in Cuyahoga county in Ohio in 2024. People didn't understand me then. But they understand me now.
Most people in Kyiv don't even know where Cuyahoga county is. But they should.
