As I've said for more than two decades: The difference between virus and anti-virus is four letters.

The worst virus I've ever had a computer infected by was the McAfee virus, that thing caused days of lost productivity.

@obeto yet it still scores well on what it does. So I'm continuing to use it. Especially when you realise a bunch of antivirus all fall under one roof.

I always wondered what they getting from me giving me a free antivirus. I wondered if it was that they got a bigger footprint on New viruses earlier in their lifecycles enabling them to put out fixes earlier.

Turns out they were just settling my data like everyone else.

Personally I think my data is useless. I can tell by the ads. It's always something I've already purchased or something so specific that the ads kind of address the topic but not quite.

But hey I'll jump on the class action if there is one going down.

For me, it is "fruit of the poisoned tree".

Everything from that company, and all subsidiaries and the parent company's firms, are so tainted.

I will never use any of it.

I am simple that way.

I use Windows because I need Adobe. Someone is selling the data.

I think resigned is a better word. I know my data is it there training this bullshit. I hope that maybe it helps someone.
