We once proudly implemented the best pandemic response in the world.
Because we followed the science.
Because we cared about each other.
Because we communicated clearly the problems and strategies.
How far we've fallen.
How stubbornly our leaders refuse to acknowledge and adapt to reality.
How many lives, how many people's health will we sacrifice for this nostalgia of 2019?

@pezmico@seawall I agree. To some degree, it is a human thing to get bored of doing a hard thing, but in the other hand, we could be saving so many more people...
@mu@pezmico@seawall What a lot of people (esp. those in charge) still don't get is that cleaning the air is actually not that hard and it would be much cheaper than dealing with staff shortages all the time.
We have the expertise, we have the evidence, we have all the tools... it's a choice not to do anything about it. Wonder how much longer until the crucial bits stop working.
