@ai6yr “Diamond Ring”. Got sent some amazing pro pics from TX today via my brother’s friend and one of his was similar and that is what it’s called I guess… The clouds parted in time for him.
@mjf_pro@ai6yr solar flares seen on edge, high enough to peek out from behind the moon. Apparently they show the pink spectrum from Helium - did not know that till today. I watched the NASA footage.
Some of the NASA announcers mistook them for Bailey's Beads, which is sun light shining through valleys between craters on the surface of the moon, just before emergence. I risked my eyesight to see the sunrise in the valleys in 2017, but I had binoculars and looked away with perfect timing.
