I've had this 6x6x6 L3D Cube for years. I finally decided it was time to dust if off and replace the built-in controller with a by @wizard!

Video of the assembled L3D cube PCBs being driven by the PixelBlaze. The frosted acrylic cover has not yet been assembled. A grid of 6x6 thin LED strip PCBs stick out vertically from the base PCB. Each of the thin LED strip PCBs has 6 RGB LEDs. The strip PCBs connect to the base PCB with a 90 degree 2x2 pin header. The horizontal distance between the strips match the vertical distance between the LEDs.

Swapped the Pico for a Standard, and added a Sensor Board by @wizard. Got a pattern working that uses the built-in accelerometer to measure and animate based on tilt.

Video of an LED cube. The LEDs inside are lit up with different colors. When tilted, the colors shift to that side, the new "down" direction. In the video, the cube is being held and tilted in different directions: right, left, back, forwards. Whichever direction the cube is tilted, the colors "fall" in that direction.

@ferrix @wizard working on it, but I think that'd require a gyro + accelerometer? The PixelBlaze Sensor board just has an accelerometer.

I think what a gyro would help with is preventing the "jiggling" due to the forces overpowering gravity in the accelerometer.

Video of the LED cube from previous posts being tilted in various directions. Regardless of the direction it's tilted in, the pattern shifts to stay right side up. When the cube is shaken, the pattern inside acts like a liquid, jiggling a bit.
