@maxkennerly I think we have yet to see the fallout of this. He fired an entire team without any consideration of how to replace them. All business contacts are gone. Who even knows who has a contract. Those are frequently on a need-to-know basis. A lot of this information is licked up in some password protected file, that I’m sure they can eventually get access too, bug they don’t know how it’s organized.

There will be lawsuits from employees and suppliers.

Starting a thread on the different types of tofu and how to cook them. (Some of these are vegan, some are not. In Chinese cooking, tofu is not a vegan protein):

  1. Egg tofu

This is one of my fave tofus. It isn't vegan. It's made with soy beans AND eggs. It has a eggy taste that egg lovers will love; but that goes way entirely when it's panfried lightly.

@skinnylatte I live in the middle of nowhere. Soft tofu is next to impossible to find, so I buy Mori-Nu brand from amazon in bulk. I love that I just have it on the shelf without refrigeration.

I mostly make Mapo-Tofu in large batches to eat for lunch all week. I could use some new recipes, but honestly, I love Mapo Tofu so much, I can make myself sick on it.

I also do a pretty good tofu scramble, which mostly satisfies my desire for eggs.

@skinnylatte It’s really allowed me to develop more skill with tofu. I used to buy it, refrigerate it, then forget about it. Now I just have it on the shelf, and I can use it anytime. Plus, nobody sells soft tofu around here.

@DJDarren @MartyFouts I buy, almost exclusively, refurbished machines directly from Apple. They may just be unsold inventory of older models, but the price discount on a 5 year old iPad model is pretty steep.

@shaknais @ralfmaximus @erictopol Yes, I’ve read that, and I think that’s very suspect. You can’t find what you don’t test for. I wonder how many herds they’ve tested. Testing is voluntary even for dairy cattle.

Remember how meat packers worked with COVID? Yeah, they think spreading disease is a laugh as long as they get their profits.

I notice that NOW they want to be careful to point out the tests don’t distinguish between active and inactive virus, but when it came to COVID vaccine effectiveness, they never mentioned that vaccinated people likely had virus that had been inactivated.
