Teenie tiny calves, all wearing bright yellow ear tags which are comically too big for them.

They're all well and alert this morning, although obviously and understandably more wary of me than I'd like them to be.

Jormungandr, the oldest and therefore largest of this year's calves, born on March 16th. He only has one tag because he struggled at the critical moment and I missed with the (more important) tissue sampling tags.
Draka with her new calf. Draka is definitely looking stern and unforgiving! Ghost and her calf are in the background.
Ghost with her calf, who is a beautiful dun colour. My experience is that dun coloured calves usually turn black as they grow up, but this one is certainly pretty just now.

@researchbuzz this is Icarus this morning, wearing his smart new tags. He's relaxed enough to come up and take carrots from my hands, so is obviously not harbouring grudges.

Another snatched picture of Icarus this morning. He is picking up a carrot I had dropped on the ground. The grass is very short here. I'm going to have to pay more attention to pasture management.

@simon_brooke I'd be very wary of anyone who forcibly stuck earings like that on my lugs. Apart from it being sore, them things are hardly on trend, not exactly svelte! 😂
