I’m sharing this because it is some of the most vile Mein Kampf level #Antisemitism I have seen on Mastodon. Isn’t this place supposed to be better than that?
It is astounding to me how people who espouse Nazi beliefs can actually consider themselves anti-Nazi.
This is indistinguishable from Hitler’s (yimakh shemo) perspective. If you lament that we “didn’t learn our lesson” from the Holocaust or if you, like this poster, consider the Holocaust to be some kind of preemptive justice against us, you are part of the “Hitler was right” crowd even as you delude yourself that you’re anti-Nazi. We see through you. All you’re missing is a swastika armband.
All Jewish people through all time and space are just one person. Brilliant wow. 🙄 I don't buy this clown cares about Palestines at all either? Seems more like the type just sitting around waiting for a chance to be antisemetic.
1, Far more than Jews suffered in the Holocaust, although we’re the most affected. This account is for collective punishment in advance of whole populations because of what they think is happening now?
2, That’s not a peace movement.
3, Even if any of this was accurate and IT IS NOT, we don’t live in some Minority Report society where people suss out and punish people in advance and nobody should want that.
@littlemiao Well, that's good at least. I would really like to see the admins of some other instances besides me and Serge make some statements to their users regarding antisemitism. It's really tolerated if not sometimes completely ignored and I just haven't seen admins stepping up and making it clear that it's not OK. I think only one other mentions it specially in their guidelines.
If other forms of bigotry are off limits, all should be,.
@raf@littlemiao It’s weird as when I opened by first instance in 2020, I copied the bulk of the terms from the general recommendations which were also in use on .social and mstdn.social, two instances I had been on and one I moderated on. Antisemitism was definitely included in the “no” part. I’m not sure when it disappeared.
Also I’m sorry for not keeping up with your work as well. I’ve had to spend a lot less time here for a myriad of reasons, although looking at calls for my demise is one.
Some instances have made their positions very clear, which is to say that some larger instances have made directly antisemitic statements and or blocked instances for "harboring Zionists".
I'm skeptical of the Fediverse as being a place that will be safe for marginalized people.
@serge@littlemiao You’re right there. This is my final social media endeavor so if it eventually becomes unbearable, I’m not sure where I’ll go but it’s been a really horrifying experience for almost 7 months now. Doesn’t seem to be getting better.
@posiputt I don’t know if they deleted it or if their server did, but that’s partly why I posted this. People can’t just say something so vile and then go on like it didn’t happen.
When I searched just now I see that I had already blocked him. So I didn't see this post, but I imagine something similar is what caused me to block him. So he's been antisemitic for a while now. (Well, yes, probably always...)
