Good point about the forever history of siege in the land of Palestine and Israel. Of course empires have always had a heavy hand in that history. I suspect repression and genocide have also.
When you take it in context of Palestine being almost completely eliminated since 1948 you can’t help but think war + settler colonialism apartheid is a culprit.

Jewish communities in Europe were made scapegoats of the plague. They were accused of deliberately poisoning wells and thus causing the plague, and such associations between plague and Jewish communities led to #pogrom in various parts of Europe.
It’s unfortunate, blaming and attacking “the other” is inherently the human animal’s means of “justice” it seems. Something “leaders” have always used to accumulate and wield power? I doubt we out grow it in our lifetimes.
