Been contemplating giving up on “the news” entirely and focusing on other ways of getting information about the world until journalism stops being broken.
That might be too extreme, so for now I’m going to do my best to get my news only from not-for-profit and independent, locally owned sources.
@monkeyborg I found my mental health is MUCH better since I only started paying attention to synopsis of news events rather then dramatic overly detailed news.
Like, I want to know that the house next to me caught on fire but I don't need to know that the people inside were burned so bad that their body fat melted into the furniture.
