Really like this ever so much from @molly0xfff

It speaks to something I often mention to or remind people of ... namely, there was a time before the commercial capitalistic web, there was a time when we wondered if you could even make money online.

The not-for-profit web was messy, it was difficult to get on to, but for the early days, and even over the first dotcom bubble, that WAS the web.

I miss the serendipity, the surprise, the joyful rabbit-holes of nerdy detail, that were in that web. I miss the optimistic possibilities of it all.

I miss enjoying technology.
