When you relentlessly counter and insist, shredding their emotional outbursts at the dinner table - they run off to their room and you can finish your supper in peace, satisfied that they've painted themselves further into the corner of isolation because they actually have nothing but an insult.
Ask them why it's okay for them to use JavaScript - created by Brendan Eich. Those hypocrites have no answer.
@tallship@Cloudguy As a developer who happens to be trans I wish I could avoid javascript (more due to technical issues than its origin) but it's kind of difficult to avoid it when that's the only language anyone wants to use for anything anymore.
I have no idea why anyone is calling out Dick for being "transphobic" here. Could you provide example links to such toots? There might be some miscommunication or perhaps some bad actors at play here.
Sadly, I cannot, but when people like you and Dick that have actual value to share with others are targeted for demoralization... Well that's just messed up.
@tallship I'd hope that @Cloudguy can provide an example of the callout, then, because I'm sure there's just some weird/unfortunate miscommunication happening or perhaps trolls who are trying to undermine trans rights.
@Cloudguy dud its trans ppl who cares they get ouraged over everything, dont pay attention to then they will commit suicide in a week or so, they dont last and the world will have lost nothing of value.
@Cloudguy I don't see it either, bit I would avoid the "trans debate" framing created by transphobes. There really isn't a debate, it's just bigots vs humans trying to live their lives.
@Cloudguy@givemefoxes You're missing the point unfortunately. Some people are accusing you of something, why I don't get either, fine.
But: What you are creating with this post is... exactly what? There may be exactly those people who may repeat their claims here, but unlikely. The overwhelming majority will just shake their heads. Unfortunately many will not shake their heads about the bogus claim, but about "oh, those trans people".
It's not "people from the trans community" (is there a "gay community"? or even a "straight community"?). It doesn't even matter whether these people are actually trans. It's irrelevant to the point.
The whole post of yours is out of frustration – which I get. But it's an outrage post which will only hurt trans people for no reason but some few idiots who talk shit. This is exactly how you get comments like this:
I do not question anything you write in this post at all, but using it as a third person "aint these guys weird" post is exactly the wrong way to respond.
Back up.
Take this post down, and engage with the misconceptions, the same as you would with a client.
