Population does not have to increase. Settling population is a gift of economic development. In struggling societies population growth is a family survival strategy, in wealthy countries having a child is love and choice based.

Every country and society needs, deserves, will have, civilization insists on, full modern economic development with non poisonous, non earth destroying materials.

University for every child on earth that wants it. Not even hard.

No hunger, easy.

Novel Attack Against Virtually All VPN Apps Neuters Their Entire Purpose

" . . Neuters Their Entire Purpose"

Researchers have discovered a new attack that can force VPN applications to route traffic outside the encrypted tunnel, thereby exposing the user's traffic to potential snooping or manipulation.

This vulnerability, named TunnelVision, is found in almost all VPNs on non-Linux and non-Android systems.

"Tesla announces fourth round of layoffs in four weeks"

On Sunday night, even more Tesla workers learned they were no longer employed by the company as it engaged in yet another round of layoffs. Multiple former employees posted on LinkedIn and other sites to relay the news that they were no longer with the company.

In other news Biden added another 175,000 new jobs on his 40th month in a row of employment and job growth.

Hat tipped Mr. President.

"Anger at the christian converts & foreigners spurred this 1900 uprising in China."

Answer, The Boxer Rebellion.

Lots of folks think the Chinese always smoked opium.
They didnt, opium wasnt a Chinese problem.

The British brought military fleets of conquest and opium, from India TO China.

China tried to end British opiun for decades, the boxer rebellion is just one.

Your soul doesn’t have junk in the trunk - Or, what Catholic apologists and Richard Dawkins agree about
Avatar photo by Adam Lee Oct 10, 2023

"...Are intersex people God’s mistakes?

The heart of Graebe’s argument is his insistence that God doesn’t make mistakes. He says it’s impossible to have a “male soul” in a biologically female body, or vice versa. Therefore, he concludes, anyone who believes themselves to be transgender is self-deluded:

"To deny that essential unity is to say that God made a mistake. …Jesus says, “This is my body,” but we cannot say that of ourselves. Our body belongs not to us, but to God, and he will not be mocked."

Again, there’s an obvious reply: How does this theology account for intersex people?

As I wrote in Christians against pronouns, it’s objectively true that there are human beings who defy simplistic notions of a gender binary..."

Scientific literacy is not a strong point with fundamentalists.

Yes.
12 to 20 million people in the world right now, living fine lives of "none of your business" are intersex people with probable infant surgery.

Millions of people, because its biology, and EVERYTHING biological is on a Bell Curve. Very very whatever to almost none of whatever.

A bell curve for height, a bell curve for swimming ability, a bell curve for being masculine, a bell curve for neurodiversoty, a bell curve for talent in hoarding.

Iron Gate Dam is now under demolition on the Klamath River in Northern .

"We make this place all new again in service of all the spirit people that exist on this earth, both human and non-human ancestors and relations," said Karuk elder Leaf Hillman.

Just a reminder that dam removal efforts began two decades ago with people having bake sales and getting laughed at in the face of monumental economic and political forces.

We all deserve good news, here is a real good chunk.

When Germany closed its nuclear plants the loud catcalls of defeat said that this means more coal, more carbon.

The good news? Germany built, is building Renewables, and its CHEAP.

The thin yellow line is renewables, look at it SOAR.

And carbon fuels are falling across the board.

Bravo Germany, BRAVO.

lol just keep trying, or, realize its not you, its nuclear, its time to move on.

Expensive, and always getting more expensive, always threatening our lives, sooner or later.

Does everyone know Fukushima meltdown IS STILL melting down, HAS NOT been repaired, is being actively 'cooled' with millions of gallons of water, and that water is just this year being emptied into Korean fishing grounds?

Fukushima nuclear plant IS STILL MELTING DOWN.\

Not bad compared to ONGOING meltdown at Fukushima, 13 years and counting.

There is an industry for testing robots that might work.

Odd cover, it was Ahab who died

Captain Ahab was obsessed with killing the whale, who hadnt died quickly enough, and whose attempts to live and flee had taken his own leg, and killed other hunters. Being white it was memorable, and so not just another whale fighting for her life, but an individual. Responsible.

Ahab's obsession did not kill the whale, Ahab died. Along with all but one of the crew.

Not Moby.

Biden has built an economy FOR WORKING AMERICANS.

Biden has taxed the UNtaxed giant sloppy corporations, AND canceled typhus orange's trillion dollar gift to corporations.

Biden has built the strongest economy in the world, by being FAIR and taxing WEALTH, finally.

Biden's historic, impossible, record breaking employment is building unions, building strength, producing very fair contracts.

If everyone on Earth got in the ocean and submerged themselves underwater at the same time, about how much would the world's sea level rise?

I doubt there is much way to prevent the instance computer from knowing the poll IPs, so some portion of each of the thousands? of instances.

I am sure Mastodon is designed to not leakm and wonerful upgrades all the time.

But security is NOT Mastodon's big code assurance, commications is.

Dont think of Mastodon as secure, its a moderated non commercial lets-do-this project of volunteers.

Hidden links are allowed, no more secure than an email link.

kevinrns,
@kevinrns@mstdn.social avatar

@TheConversationUS

I dont. I am not attacking you, I am asking questions, because there are reasons to ask questions. Mastodon DOES NOT do security very well, for example, Mastodon coders have said specifically. There is leakage in blocking, leakage in DMs.

I should have said:

"Does any know"

before asking my question

And VC money has been added to the Board of Mastodon, and Mastodon integrated with facebook and the criminal zucker. So questions.

So again sorry this felt like an attack
