@daringfireball IMO, the best way to improve Siri is to revert it to Voice Command.

On-device using my on-device data like Contacts and my Music Library.

I don’t want to ask for #JonathanCoulton and get Drake.

I don’t want to ask to “Call Mum’s Mobile” and get “Moms Homestyle Kitchen”.

@daringfireball what I dont get about Siri is…why it degrades over time. My new HomePods for example. It was fast. Now, when I issue a common command to activate a HomeKit scene, it sits & spins. Worse, if I’m watching ATV while doing this, it mutes my video’s audio until it figures out the command. Why does it do this?? I have rippin’ internet.

@daringfireball @gruber The whole article fell apart for me at this point: “The company’s divisions, such as software and hardware, operate independently of one another and share limited information. But A.I. needs to be threaded through products to succeed.”

Righttt… Apple is not familiar with designing their hardware and software to be complementary. How could I have forgotten?
