Wednesday: 96 seconds of plank, 20 minutes of #AppleFitness strength training, then 11 minutes of yoga for runners, 5.2 km of #running (8°C), and then 26km of #cycling.

Me: Wednesdays should low-effort days.

Also me: Strength training, yoga, a close-to-all-out run, and cycling.

In my defence, I figured a short, higher intensity run probably wasn't a bad idea; nearly 11km/hr @ 166 steps/minute, and I tried to stay on the balls of my feet. This was really hard. 🤔

1) A tree with interesting branches on the shore of the Rideau River 2) Large tree silhouetted against the brightly lit cloudy morning sky, 3) Rideau Falls.

@rotnroll666 🤣 It does. I appreciate those yoga for runners episodes; I'm trying to make them a regular part of my morning and have to sort out where to add the weights, HIIT, and core workouts too.

I think I need to figure out how to get paid to work out. 🤔

@WTL Maybe look at Chi Running for some help? That suggests 'falling forward a bit' to stay on your forefoot.

@paul I finished reading Born to Run 2 recently which really advocated for 180 SPM running, I have to go through the supplemental material (maybe this weekend), but I'm really not sure how I’d get to 180 for more efficient running.

@fietsria @paul That is an excellent question; probably over 180 steps per minute, but I know almost nothing about sprinting.
