Sunroc, What an idiot. Lays off 75% of trust and safety team and proceeds to remove safety features, common sense content moderation, now opening up the brand for a new vector of abuse ( that the remaining T&S team probably doesn’t have job board experience). Job boards have a bunch of scam and spam risks.
They will probably pay to scrape jobs from other job boards. That means you can only trust a job posting based on the text in the post. No IP info, no device type, no business verification.
Also, if they plan to generate the content themselves- how do they plan to verify the businesses? That’s really involved work…
skellener, It’s pretty much a joke site now. Nobody takes it seriously - not even the owner.
Employer - “Hey where’s you resume?“
Potential employee - Oh, it’s on X.“
Employer - “🤣🤣🤣 - no seriously…”
xc2215x, Elon is messing up the site again.
JWBananas, He must have heard the news that LinkedIn is having a renaissance right now. No joke.
drdabbles, lmao
The most useless social network is going to be an add on to Twitter? Yeah, that’ll fix things. I guess you’ll instantly know which companies to never work for, and which people to never hire. So that’s helpful.
Varyag, LinkedIn doesn’t need help to become even more shitty, but it can surely always be worse…
Corkyskog, LinkedIn basically needed to have an all or nothing presence in the white color workspace for the concept to work. They got close before everyone realize how useless it is, and now it’s a complete joke. It’s at the point where if someone mentions spending time on LinkedIn they get weird looks if they don’t work in HR.
Potatos_are_not_friends, Musk ready to keep failing on multiple fronts!
Chais, Fascist job search. Lovely. /s
Awwab, What engineers will be developing this brand new feature...
NOT_RICK, The hardcore ones, come on!
charles, Ah yes because a platform that is having an exodus of advertisers due to not wanting to be associated with its content will surely attract companies for employment related listings…
rgb3x3, With the toxicity around Twitter and the absolute shit show it’s been, I’d be shocked if companies and recruiters utilize it over Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Monster, or Indeed.
I certainly wouldn’t be looking for real jobs there.
