The #WhiteHouse on Wed announced a new plan to assist states in curbing #GunViolence, turning the attention to the local level w/the hope of further federal #GunControl legislation fading.
In addition to 2 new executive actions on #gun storage & reporting lost or stolen #firearms, the #Biden admin is offering tools to help #states#BanAssaultWeapons, strengthen BackgroundChecks & implement local #programs to prevent & respond to gun violence.
All 18 victims — 17 adults & 1 child — have been identified, Mike Sauschuck, Commissioner of the #Maine Dept of #PublicSafety said in a Friday evening news conference. Aaron Young was just 14, the rest were between age 34 & 76.

Arguably, Putin/Russian money laundered through the gun lobby as campaign donations to the Republican Party, preventing any robust federal legislation on guns such as an assault weapons ban, has arguably been their most successful domestic terrorism operation against the USA. They have found a way to attack us from within.
