Day 43 if #100DaysofCosmoPic starts with getting rejected again for the same reason as before, no further explanation… So I thought okay now I will add a feature which I didn’t intent to build but maybe it will help getting accepted. I have added a trivia tab about the planets of the solar system. I plan to expand it to a quiz you can do to test your space knowledge. Hope this will help to eventually get accepted when it’s finished 🤞
I’ve been developing a new app in the last weeks and I used a couple of interesting techniques and ideas so I figured I’d share it here as a part of #buildinpublic movement. I also believe the process of creating an app and thinking about details is interesting so here you go
I am incredibly busy right now… so naturally I am looking for a distraction. I kind of want to try to make a watchOS app… which I have absolutely no idea how to do. Maybe I’ll do something open source, #BuildInPublic style?
Spectra for Prime Video is now OPEN SOURCE. I look forward to seeing this project grow to a degree that I could not make happen on my own!
🚀 Boosts Appreciated! 😃
For those who are unaware: Spectra is an app for Apple Vision Pro that allows you to watch Amazon Prime Video content. While the iPadOS app is available on #visionos, many have said it is hard to use. Spectra aims to solve that by wrapping the website in a native app using #swift and #swiftui.
As this is the first real #opensource project I’ve made, I’ve done some research and think I have setup this repository correctly. But I am open to suggestions on what things I need to look out for and what I should consider enabling or disabling to prevent unwanted things from happening.
Also doing bug fixes to #scribbles as I go — shipped two already in the last two deploys — and will get those juicy details out later (just for fun and a bit of "noise" that probably no one cares about).
Well, not as planned, different feature in #scribbles now live. You can now hide a post in your RSS feed (and also from explore if your blog is discoverable). It will always show on your blog. This was requested by a few peeps. Just use the gear icon.
I most likely will be doing some #buildinpublic today on #scribbles. So maybe mute me for the day 🤣 Still a few things to sort this morning, so maybe a late start.
Originally I didn't want to ship the app with a light mode but I feel like it would be one of the first things people would ask for, so here we go. I'm not completely happy with it yet, but it's a good start.
And to top it off, I’m now trying to submit again. I was rejected two times in #100DaysofCosmoPic for “Minimum functionality”, let’s see if adding an interactive widget let’s me get through 🤞
So, I used videos for an In-App Event for the first time, but it looks pixelated initially… I understand it's due to video compression, but I’d rather see the poster frame until it has buffered in higher resolution...? 🤔
Does anyone have experience with videos in In-App Events? Any thoughts on whether videos might help improve conversion (or get more attention) compared with still images? 🤓
