(that burn the bull’s sensitive belly and groin) are commonly used to incite “#bucking” — a natural response to fear, discomfort, and pain. When bulls are forced to buck aggressively and for prolonged periods of time, they develop debilitating #injuries to their back and legs.
“#Bullfighters” are encouraged to #torment the bulls by performing aggressive maneuvers on and around the frightened #bulls.

Just plain cool
(also I’m originally from Chicago, grew up watching DePaul #BlueDemons & the #Bulls, so I’m a #Strus fan)
#MaxStrus 3 point basket from beyond the half court line
At 2 seconds left in the game, it was tied 119-118, w/ less than a second, Max Strus threw from beyond the half court line, made it, & they won 121-119. Crazy shot.
No, the #Patriots weren’t the greatest dynasty in professional sports. There were too many rings on Bill Russell’s fingers to agree with that. For that matter, Jordan’s #Bulls won six rings in eight years. But greatest dynasty in #NFL history? Sure. @nfl
Just like when the #Nuggets beat the Clippers a few weeks ago with three starters out, Reggie Jackson is leading the way for Denver (21 points). Porter Jr. had a good third quarter and has 17. Nuggets 92, #Bulls 80, end of the third quarter. #NBA@nba
Team effort in the first quarter. Joker focused on playmaking, not even taking a shot in the first eight minutes. Peyton Watson had two blocks and a steal. Reggie Jackson has eight points; Braun with seven. KCP out for the game with a head contision. #Nuggets 32, #Bulls 25, end of the first quarter. #NBA@nba
That was the longest two minutes of an #NBA game in recent memory, but the #Nuggets pull it out, 129-122. Good effort by the #Hawks to try to come back.
— Despite the rolled ankle, Murray had 29 points and nine rebounds;
— Joker finished with 25-8-8 and two pokes to the face;
— Comeback game for Gordon, 18 points and 12 rebounds;
— Strawther had a career-high 22;
— Reggie Jackson had 12 points and six assists off the bench.

TELL PALMA, SPAIN THAT BULLFIGHTING IS CRUELTY — NOT CULTURE
In a merciless move, the city of #Palma, #Spain, has declared itself a bullfighting-friendly city with a claimed “obligation” to promote the intentional torture of sentient bulls.
The city had made a compassionate change in 2015 to not champion the gruesome #bullfighting events, in which #bulls are harassed, speared repeatedly, and left to wallow in their own gushing blood before cheering crowds.
It’s time for #Palma to continue its former progressive legacy for #bulls by focusing on a path forward that’s rooted in #compassion — not a retreat backward into undeniable #cruelty. We must let the council know now that the world is watching and opposes this tragic reversal.
