    A person I worked with and his wife were expecting their first child. Three weeks before the due date, the fetus died. She had to carry that fetus until "birth" because they lived in a state with restrictions on abortion care

    This was not a "might not survive" thing. There was no life. And the cruel nation we are forced this couple to suffer for weeks beyond need

    question regarding phones. I need to buy a new one asap. Battery is suddenly not working properly and it is where my is. I don't want all the damn bloatware but I'm worried about switching from an android to an apple.
    Is it easy to move from android to apple? Contacts, pics, etc?
    Does Apple have less bloatware? Or does that depend on your service provider?

    I'm in the US so I can't do that FairPhone.
    I'm sorry, I don't have any idea what LinageOS is but I will look it up. Thank you. I currently have a google pixel and they have so much bloatware, they keep putting in more crap and making it impossible to turn things off that I used to be able to turn off. Google has gotten like microsoft that you cannot stop updates no matter what you do. At least what us who have little knowledge and skill in this area.

    Wow. Thank you! I currently have a Pixel 3a but that's the one that's dying. I need to replace it. I'll read all this and see if I think I can do it.
    If I could find a tech person who could stop all the microsoft crap on my laptop and all the google and verizon crap on my phone, I would pay well (as much as I could, which isn't much thought) to have that done.

    Super nostalgic taste for a snack at Hermetic Library HQ! I grew up on way too many PB, butter, and banana sandwiches. As a kid it was Adams natural PB tho, peanuts and salt only, not that sugar paste stuff. (Here it's Smucker's natural PB, also just peanuts and salt, because they don't have Adams at my shop now, though they used to!)

    I'm a 59 year old African American woman. I've desegregated a town, a school system and many other spaces. When I discuss racism in this nation, I'm not going to ameliorate my speech for the comfort of anyone. I don't exist to comfort others about the reality of what I was born into - what we all live in together. If that's a problem for you, I suggest you embark on some self-reflection to determine what your actual role is within this system.
