I finally got to watch The Marvels.

What a lovely and delightful movie.
It was so fun and yes, exciting.

I don't understand why it got such hate...

(No, sadly, I understand... three female leads, two POC among them, plus all other characters are POC too... I hate White America sometimes)

Anyway, I'm such a fan of these three...

And that mid-credit scene. A few months ago, I said that those scenes were getting tiresome and too gimmicky.
Well....I screamed for that one. I literally screamed.
This is the scene I've been waiting for so many years... I know I need to wait a few more years for the pay-off, but still... It happened!

I love quirky-funny superhero action movies. The Marvels is going to join Thor: Ragnarok as one of my favorite MCU films.

Also that Flerketten chase scene was the best. I will happily watch that on repeat.

If you enjoy Marvel movies, you should go see it. And if, like me, you were a big fan of and are, like I was, worried that it’s not the sequel you wanted, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I think Stephen King is right. The trolling and gloating at apparent box-office failure of new MCU movie The Marvels is tiresome.

And by the way, the actual paying public seem to quite like it.

My wife and I went to see tonight.

  1. This is not a great .

  2. This is also NOT the worst movie, the worst movie of 2023, or the worst movie of all time, no matter how much clickbait you see to that effect.

  3. We had fun. There are plenty of flaws, but also plenty of enjoyable light-hearted moments.
