Abuse of the #DMA’s ‘#gatekeeper’ concept: "The 🇪🇺 Commission set a dangerous precedent with the #DataAct, which now risks spilling over into other regulations – such as new rules on financial data access #FiDA."
Thanks to the Developers Alliance for their event on the #DigitalMarketsAct! The #DMA and #DataAct are a key part of the #EU's strategy to create a competitive market for apps & cloud services. The #EU needs to be clearer about the opportunities this creates for devs!
Was genau speichern sie? Was passiert mit den Daten? Und wem gehören sie? Von A. Erhard, M. Böff und C. Röse.
This is why we need the #DataAct more than ever: manufacturers shouldn't be allowed to prevent citizens from accessing data from their own vehicles. Shame on you, Mazda.
@arstechnica@EC_Commissioner_Breton : can we make such a case a model example for the #DataAct, where living in the #EU will mean it is possible to be more in control of one's objects and, thus, make such a DMCA takedown illegal in the EU?
