Why doesn't use an such as by default?

Does a pretty good job & has 80+ instances available at:

That should ensure a better uptime & reliability than & of course - way better everything - than 👍

@jetztdochau Was suchst Du denn für abgefahrene Sachen?

If you're running a business, you can either invest at being good at your business, or good at Google SEO. Choose the former and your customers will love you – but they won't be able to find you, thanks to the people who choose the latter. And if you're going to invest in top-notch SEO, why bother investing in quality at all?

We stopped doing recommendations. We literally roll a dice to pick a #searchEngine these days. They can be played off each other, too. It was super-interesting that #DDG found NOTHING about one FOSS publishers details recently whereas another #searchEngine found plenty.

You need to stop using Chrome NOW. It’s not hyperbole: Google just rolled out a change to Chrome that tracks the sites you visit, builds a profile, and shares that with any page you visit that asks.

This is real. It’s not tech bro conspiracy shit.

Affirmative Action is a way to try to right generational wrongs that have caused damage to entire portions of our population, damages that continue to reverberate today.

Given that the US continues to underfund public primary education in poor and underprivileged communities where generally minorities live in higher proportion, yes, this is breaking history and the future for many in this country.

We're not the only ones who have been complaining about this recently. I was very happy with DDG for years and I still really like the fact that I can search the Free Software Directory by adding !fsd to my keywords. But their general search results have gone massively downhill in the last year or two, and I blame Bing.

digitalRightsNinja,
digitalRightsNinja,

@strypey Confirmation bias is what support relies on. When you opted to ignore the facts upon reading about Weinberg’s involvement with Names DB, that’s confirmation bias at work.

The facts of the article are uncountered. I have encountered no opposing facts to consider. But if you believe you have facts that counter the facts presented in the article, I would be interested in reviewing them.

relies on its privacy policy and blog to sell itself as pro-privacy. That means all you have is trust. You are expected to trust a former privacy abuser to have reformed. And yet DDG was caught violating its own privacy policy. So it’s irrational to trust them. You also have to trust Microsoft (the privacy abuser DDG partnered with) to not record your search queries and IP together. The facts are against DDG but privacy marketing works wonders on people and pulls them into a confirmation bias bubble.

strypey,
@strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz avatar

@digitalRightsNinja
> Confirmation bias is what #DDG support relies on

If I was making an argument for supporting DDG this might be relevant. I'm simply pointing out guilt-by-association about;

> Weinberg’s involvement with Names DB

... is unconvincing. As explained in my last post

> The facts of the article are uncountered

The argument in the TechRights doesn't depend on facts, but innuendo. So any "facts" it handwaves at while weaving this innuendo are neither here nor there.
