I got clouds in my head and Iām feeling kinda dizzy.
My eyes kinda hurt and my hair is all frizzy.
This jacket smells bad and I stepped in something squishy.
Iām feeling kinda hungry, so I gotta get busy.
Walking to the beat and everything is gritty.
Boarded up houses but the gardens look pretty.
Get with the crew and we start to get giddy.
Weāre drawn down the street by the promise of the city.
I may fall today,
But I donāt need no confession.
It doesnāt hurt to pray,
But Iāve still got my depression.
Searching for some brains,
Itās kinda my obsession.
I think itās safe to say,
All zombies go to heaven.
You can see the meat hanging out to dry.
They think theyāre safe and believe that lie.
But behind their walls they start to cry.
They see us coming and we wonāt die.
We are the hoard and we grow every day.
Trying to make it in a world decayed.
We canāt talk. Got nothing to say,
Paying the price that we all have to pay.
I may fall today,
But I donāt need no confession.
It doesnāt hurt to pray,
But Iāve still got my depression.
Searching for some brains,
Itās kinda my obsession.
I think itās safe to say,
All zombies go to heaven.
All zombies go to heaven.
I may fall today,
But I donāt need no confession.
It doesnāt hurt to pray,
But Iāve still got my depression.
Searching for some brains,
Itās kinda my obsession.
I think itās safe to say,
All zombies go to heaven.
All zombies go to heaven.
All zombies,
Go to heaven.

Nice touch for Brian May to rip out the Largo theme from local-boy-done-good Antonin Dvorak's Symphony from the New World. https://youtu.be/GzjG95rB96Q?t=3656

#Dgar mutters under their breath about how useless corporate advertising isā¦ ugh, they didnāt even mention anything about the Zombie song I wrote for #Fedivisionā¦ or that #Dgarheads can vote DIZZ when voting opens on Sunday to support the #DgarMusic entry!
Useless I say, utterly useless!!
Itās so easy to get wrapped up in tempo and pitch when performing a piece, especially when itās an original song that youāre still trying to work out parts of the melody. But even if you manage to land all your lyrics on the beat and hit the right notes, I find that a recording can still sound lifeless or weak.
I try to address this by āactingā, by being the character that would be telling the story or singing that song, by channeling their emotions into the performance.
I heard a cover band once play Enter Sandman by Metallica. They nailed it, note for note, but even though the vocalist was in time and in key, they didnāt sound the slightest bit angry. This made the performance feelā¦ somewhat unsatisfactory. I feel it needs to be sung with red hot fury and blind hatred in the words. Their performance has stuck with me, and itās resulted in me making a conscious effort to embody some kind of character for each song.
So anyway, Iām a zombie in my #Fedivision entry.
