Disabled, wiped out after finally paying the rent, need to get groceries/household stuff. I have to have them delivered tho due both to my car needing repair and my health problems.
To clarify on the household stuff thing, I have someone who is supposed to come help clean up my apartment soon (since my stamina and the swelling in my legs makes what needs to be done currently more than i can do myself) but I need to cover for the cleaning supplies. That's what I need in addition to getting groceries.
Disabled and broke, owe rent (500) for March by the 18th and also need to get groceries. I'm still recovering from being hospitalized with a leg infection & I'm stuck at home. Please help & share widely!
Edit 021424: I've also created a more formal fundraising page with details of why I need help and what for.
Help a disabled black man this Black History Month?
Disabled black man now 5 days late on rent (500), facing late fees soon! Also out of food & have other bills coming up!
I was recently hospitalized for a leg infection, still adjusting to recovery from that.
I'm going to the doctor today about my swollen legs and to get an update about how my medication is doing with my blood pressure and stuff. Hopefully I don't end up in the hospital again.
Once I do get released from the hospital for the leg infection I'll need a ride home (I didn't drive here) & whatever supplies they say I need for home care, plus to get food. @mutualaid@mutualaid@mutual_aid
Out of work due to multiple disabilities including congestive heart failure, owe on rent & utilities 800 bucks combined and already late, will not make it without help!
Update on the above: I just got enough to pay the electric bill! This now leaves what I need for rent (500) plus some for groceries after fees (like 120 I think would last awhile)
Thanks for sharing so far!
Out of work due to multiple disabilities including congestive heart failure, owe rent and utilities totalling 800 dollars as of today, plus need to get food delivered (my car is currently out of commission and because of my health problems I'm highly vulnerable out in public anyway)
Disabled and out of work, trying to make it through winter with more stability (I didn't pay December rent until it was January and I had some days I didn't even eat cuz I was afraid it'd make paying bills even harder). I already deal with mental health issues in addition to physical disabilities and honestly need less stress than I get.
We agree completely - accessibility is an essential human right, no question!
We deeply apologize...
Accessibility has always been a first-order priority for us. It's important as well to not see such essential feature sets as binary - an either "have" or "don't have", and our intention today was to receive feedback on whether we're currently excelling in these areas or if you, our dear users, feel we can do even better.
Disabled and not yet receiving any state assistance for it (takes a long time in the US), 500 dollars away from finally covering my late rent and utilities for the month!
