Small #F1 rant here, but the timing of the Las Vegas race very annoying.
It's at 10PM local time, so midnight for me, and 1AM for east coasters. Do they want American ratings to be in the toilet for this race?
I know they want it to be at night, and I know it will be better for Europe/Africa/Asia, but this race exists to get America excited about F1, and most of us will be asleep for it 🙃
"Can't decide which is more boring, #TDF or #F1", I said to my (very late) date who arrived wearing half of a Ferrari merch shop, riding a bike that, by the looks of it, cost about four times my monthly salary.
🇬🇧 #Twitter is a dump, and #Mastodon suits me thematically and it's cool, I feel comfortable here. However, I still need an account on TT to follow accounts like #speedway clubs and riders, #F1 drivers and teams, etc. It is TT where they are all.
This #F1 race weekend in Las Vegas is shameful for so many reasons, but top among them are the way the fans were treated after the #FP1 red flag and the 10-grid spot penalty for Carlos Sainz who was the victim of an engineering failure by those responsible for the track.
He should not have been penalized for having to repair the damage caused by a faulty track.
C'mon #FIA, if you want Americans to become #F1 fans, show them the good stuff -- not the worst of the sport. 😡
Fellow #F1 fans, I need your help (pretty please, with sugar on top!)...
While F1 is on its winter recalibration, I'm focusing in on #FormulaE & writing an intro blog on it for motorsport/ F1 fans who haven't got into it yet.
I'm going to be interviewing someone who worked for one of the Formula E teams & would like to know what questions you have about the championship that I could ask...?
Anybody know how to follow multiple hashtags in a single list? Lists only seem to be tied to accounts, and following hashtags is on a 1-by-1 basis. For example, it would be really nice to group #F1, #formula1, and #formulaone into one column so that I can catch all the content without having to have 3 separate columns open (which I can't do on my phone anyway).
From my research thus far, it doesn't look like this is a supported feature yet, but it's quite possible that I've missed something. I'm still sort of "new" to the fediverse power-user options. So I figured I'd ask just in case someone out there has figured it out (or could maybe give me a pointer as to a github issue that I could monitor to see what discussion there is about it).
F1: The amazing story of Pit Stop improvement over the period 1990-2023
Pit Stop - a technical stop of the car during the race to refuel, change tires, change drivers, make quick repairs and check the technical condition of the car. #AureFreePress#F1#cars#racing
Verstappen
Norris
Sainz
Perez
Russell
Gasly
Stroll
Tsunoda
Albon
Sargeant
Przewaga Sergio Pereza nad Lewisem Hamiltonem w klasyfikacji kierowców dzięki temu zauważalnie rośnie do 39 punktów.
