Try the ionised broiled lobster at Thantis Holiday Port. Read all about the deadly ionised broiled lobster food poisoning outbreak. All this and more in the latest #LiberationGame update.
New ship for #LiberationGame -- the garbage scowl. Even though the game is inspired by UK scifi I have to slip in a bit of Australian post-apocalyptic fetish aesthetic every now and then.
Luckily it doubles as a "are you mummy" / cyberman tear drop kind of thing too.
New civilian tanker ship for #LiberationGame. Whether it's water, air or the Galactic Federation's most popular mood altering drug, a tanker will ship it to you promptly and for a fair(?) price.
#LiberationGame is meant to use the input mechanic from the original Elite (pitch and roll and no yaw) but the space game scene has absolutely moved onto yaw (and mouse look).
The pragmatist in me is saying implement yaw, the romantic in me is saying no way and the historian in me is saying it's uber cool to bring back this beautiful authentic rolly floaty input scheme.
The worst outcome would be to "give players the option" then the game just becomes a beige mess
Trying to mix things up. Have cut a demo from a pre release version of #LiberationGame and put it up live today. My inspirations for this retro space adventure are the original Elite from 1984 and BBC videotape #scifi like #blakes7 and #doctorwho. Check it out!
A mining outpost inside a shattered planet which then gets destroyed.
Two complicated set pieces from the game (the broken planet and the exploding station) but I think unfortunately they distract a bit from each other. I have to move on but one of those times where final result is less than sum of the parts to me.
Doing everything but putting together the last few missions in #LiberationGame. While it is incomplete it is still this perfect game in my mind but once I finish it, it becomes real and flawed.
crying rn as the sun rises over the last tree on MegaPlanet 1 and asking myself why did we cut down all the trees? why is there war? why do children go hungry? truly makes you think
